The 3rd Southwest BJJ Classic, hosted at Phoenix College, proved to be another great event for GDJiujitsu and particularly GDJiujitsu North Phoenix! With only 8 competitors, GDJiujitsu North Phoenix captured 12 medals. Standouts of the tournament were Noah Indahl, Josh Guerra, Jon Wagner, and Xavier Hernandez, who all won gold in their respective divisions, or in the absolute division. Xavier, an rising star in the Team GDJiujitsu North Phoenix stable of fighters won both of his matches by submission, earning gold in his first tournament ever. Colton Kleinman, Brandon Sees, Casey Quist, Travis Schwartzlander, Brad Bailey, and Mike Romeo all fought well and represented GDJiujitsu North Phoenix with professionalism, sportsmanship, and good technique, while placing in their divisions as well.
